I'm Anna, creator of Sew Sydney.

Pre 2017 my life looked very different,

I played Roller Derby every chance I had.

I loved it - but despite training several times

a week and playing most weekends, I was

very ill and needed a kidney transplant!

Dramatic right?!

Fast forward to May 2017 after my successful

kidney transplant, my donated kidney

lovingly became known as Sydney.

Sydney the Kidney.

​

I soon came to the heart-breaking realisation it would no longer be safe for me to play my beloved sport.

​

Fear not - there is a happy ending to that chapter!

So I have have always been creative and decided to dabble in the world of sewing as a gentler substitute. 

​

My passion grew and soon sewing took over! I knew I had to take the leap in combining my love of unique fashion, upcycling, designing and creating.

​

I sew because of Sydney and so Sew Sydney was born!
